What are action-oriented monsters? Action-Oriented Monsters are a concept introduced in Matt Colville's video of the same name.The main conceit for the design is to create monsters that can hold their own against a party of adventurers by having more to do in each round of combat between actions, bonus actions, reactions, and newly introduced "villain actions."
